No new recruitments in Tral belt, Education is important: Gurdeep Singh

Saahil Suahil Anantnag, July 19: GOC Victor Force Maj. General Gurdeep Singh on Tuesday  during a function at Govt Middle School, Chittisinghpura, termed the reports of ‘new recruitments in militant outfits in Tral belt of Kashmir valley’  as a fabricated story.

While talking to media on the sidelines of the function GOC said, “we have no information about the new recruitments in militant outfits in Tral.” adding that, besides  fighting against terrorism, we are also trying to bridge the gap between the public and armed forces.


Expressing satisfaction over the sports activities conducted by army GOC, said that army will continue to help the people of Valley especially youth towards a bright future.

Addressing the function organized by 19RR under the aegis of 2 Sector RR, GOC Victor Force, Maj. General Gurdeep Singh, urged  the children to empower themselves with education, which will ultimately result in betterment of the society and country.

On the occasion GOC distributed computers and books among 84 students of Govt. Middle School Chatisingh Pora, Anantnag. Function was also attended by Commander 2 Sector RR, Brig. Sanjay Gupta, CO 19RR, Col. Al Maini SM, Tehsildar Shangus.

Students of the school displayed a cultural program  that enthrall  the audiences.
