Srinagar, October 10 : The Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir (JI) has expressed serious concern over the harassment and arrest of Kashmiri students outside the valley.
The JI spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that under a well-thought plan, a campaign of intimidation of the Kashmiri students studying outside the territory had been initiated in order to create a psychological fear in the parents so that they stopped sending their wards for higher studies.
“Whenever any explosion is caused anywhere in India, the Kashmiri Muslims particularly students are harassed and arrested without any reason and justification, on mere suspicions. If one Kashmiri Muslim gets trapped, then all those whose contact numbers are in his mobile have to face the problems,” he stated.
The spokesman strongly denounces the vicious campaign of intimidation of Kashmiri students and demands immediate release of all the youth who have been falsely implicated in the Delhi blast case.
