India urged to accept tripartite talks

Srinagar, December 16 : The Chairman of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has called upon India to resolve the Kashmir dispute through the holding of tripartite dialogue among Pakistan, India and true representatives of the Kashmiri people.
According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing a large gathering in Sopore, today, the APHC Chairman said that the Kashmiris could not allow their sacrifices for liberation to go waste. He demanded the repeal of black laws, withdrawal of Indian troops from Kashmir and release of all political detainees.
The veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, in a statement in Srinagar paid rich tributes to Tariq Ahmad Butt, who was recently killed by unknown assailants in Nowhatta area of Srinagar. He condemned the allegation of puppet Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and said that the Chief Minister was trying to defame Hurriyet leadership on the pretext of the killed, Tariq Ahmad Butt.
Senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah was arrested today at Mirgund on his way to Baramullah, where he had to address public gathering.
The JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, addressing a public gathering in Srinagar urged Indian rulers to adopt a positive attitude for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
Meanwhile, glowing tributes were paid to eminent Mujahid commander Shamsul Haq on his 18th martyrdom anniversary, today.
APHC leader Zafar Akbar Butt while addressing a prayers gathering at Mazar-e-Shuhada in Srinagar and JKLF-R leader Javed Ahmad Mir in his statement said that the sacrifices rendered by Shamsul Haq and other martyrs would always be remembered.
Curfew has been imposed in Budgam areas of occupied Kashmir following protests over a video containing objectionable content. Residents of several villages took to the streets against the video.
