Sacrifices not be allowed go waste: APHC leaders
Srinagar, November 05 (KMS): Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and world over will observe Jammu Martyrs’ Day, tomorrow, to reaffirm the resolve to continue their liberation struggle till they achieve their inalienable right to self-determination.
During the first week of November in 1947, hundreds of thousands of Kashmiris were killed by the forces of Maharaja Hari Singh, Indian army and Hindu extremists in different parts of Jammu region while they were migrating to Pakistan.
The All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said that the massacre of Kashmiris including women and children in 1947 was the blackest chapter of the history of Jammu and Kashmir.
APHC leaders, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmed Khan and Yasmeen Raja, in their separate statements issued in Srinagar paid glowing tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs. They said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir would not allow the sacrifices of their martyrs go waste and would accomplish their mission at all costs.
Dukhtaran-e-Millat in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemning the continued illegal detention of its Chief, Aasiya Andrabi, said that the authorities were subjecting her to political vendetta.
The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in his statement denounced in strong terms police raid on the house of the party General Secretary, Muhammad Rafiq Ganai in Srinagar.
On the other hand, at least 11 people were killed and 38 others injured when a bus fell into a deep gorge at Panzilla pass in Kargil.
