Srinagar, December 27: In Kulgam, the witnesses have identified the trooper involved in the recent fratricidal shootout in a paramilitary CRPF camp in Kulgam. Three CRPF men were killed and one critically injured in the incident.
Following the shootout, the police arrested six CRPF men present in the barrack at the time of the incident for investigations to ascertain who actually was involved in the fratricide.
Police sources told media in Srinagar that the five CRPF men, witnesses of the incident, during the course of interrogation identified their colleague, S K Roy (constable), who was also in the police custody, as the trooper fired on the victims.“After being identified by his colleagues, the constable on being interrogated, confessed to his crime,” said a police official.
