Peace in South Asia linked with Kashmir resolution: Shabbir

Srinagar, January: Senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference and President of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabbir Ahmed Shah has said that durable peace in South Asia will remain a distant dream unless the Kashmir dispute is resolved in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.
Addressing his party workers at Magam in Budgam district, Shabbir Ahmad Shah reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue the liberation struggle till its logical conclusion at all costs.

The APHC leader said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir were struggling for securing their inalienable right to self-determination that had also been acknowledged by India as well as the international community. He deplored that with the passage of time India had backed away not only from its commitments on Kashmir, but also created hurdles to prolong its illegal occupation of the territory.
