A major setback for separatists

Srinagar, Mar 19: Pakistan is gradually backtracking from the Kashmir issue diplomatically could be ascertained with the fact that Pakistan embassy in New Delhi has decided to ignore Kashmiri separatists leaders this time on 'Pakistan day' celebrations- being observed on 23rd of March.
Kashmiri Separatists leaders who from past over 20 years continue to enjoy Iftar parties and other functions especially the Pakistan day celebrations have been ignored this time as the according sources, Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi has decided not to invite the leaders.

Sources said that not inviting Pro-Pakistani leaders can be fallout of ongoing dialogue process between the countries as well as because of political compulsion of ruling party in New Delhi, However Pakistan's move will not only dent the image of separatists but will definitely lower their morale that too at a time when they backed 67 expelled students who had cheered for Pakistan after their win in a Asia Cup cricket match.
"It is not the issue of inviting or not inviting for a cup of tea or coffee but it is a very sensitive issue, if they have decided not to invite us this definitely sends a message across the globe that Pakistan is backtracking from the issue." A separatist leader in Mirvaiz's camp whishing anonymity said.
Contradicting this, a senior leader of the forum said it must not be taken seriously as it might be fallout of Indo-Pak dialogue process.
"Both the countries are going through a dialogue process through diplomatic channels so the move might have been taken after consultation with Hurriyat camp in Srinagar," he said.
He said that Islamabad and New Delhi might have gone through a compromise this time in view of the forthcoming elections. "India this time is going to witness general elections.
All political parties are busy with their campaigning so learning from the past if Pakistan facilitates Kashmiri separatist leaders, rival parties can explode it and can get the political mileage," he added.
Meanwhile sources in New Delhi told Early Times that High Commission will celebrate the day with only its staff members.
