Information department exposed its policy of favoritism and revenge

Shockingly, Jammu and Kashmir information department yet again exposed its policy of favoritism and revenge by denying authority pass to early times reporter as the News Paper had earlier carried a news story about the videographers of department demanding money from politicians during the campaign trail in this southern Lok Shaba constituency.
Department before couple of days sought documents from the Early Times reporter including the authorization letter from the media house which was accordingly emailed to the concerned District information Officer Anantnag, however today passes were given only to selective group of stringers and cameramen of the district.

“I was single out only because the department as well as the administration isn’t happy with my news reports through which i am exposing the corruption and favoritism.” Saahil Suhail, Early Times reporter said, adding department issued passes to only blue eyed scribes while as even the senior reporters working with leading dallies were not even informed.
Department has issued passes even to those who either can’t click or can’t write.
District Information Officer Anantnag when contacted turned arrogant and said, “What I can do, I am not authorized to issue.”
Director Information department, when contacted claimed that the department has acquired details from the scribes in January, However our correspondent rubbished the claim of director and said, “All those who got the passes today emailed their authority letter and photographs after I submitted via email, so the department can’t stop early times from publishing and exposing the corruption, corrupt official, injustice, favoritism besides facts.” he said
