World urged to help resolve Kashmir dispute HR bodies asked to secure ailing Aasiya’s release

Srinagar, November 02  All Parties Hurriyet Conference leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah has said that Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed territory, which needs to be resolved through tripartite dialogue between Pakistan, India and true representatives of the Kashmiri people.
Addressing media men after meeting people hailing from various walks of life at Mattan in Islamabad, Shabbir Ahmad Shah sought the world community’s help to resolve the decades old dispute.
The High Court Bar Association in a statement in Srinagar condemned the continued illegal detention of the ailing Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Syeda Aasiya Andrabi and appealed to the international human rights organisations to intervene for safety of her life. The Bar said that the Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson was jailed in violation of the release orders of the High Court.
The veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani in a media interview expressed sympathies with the family of the boy who was abducted and killed in Pampore.
On the other hand, at least six civilians including a woman were injured in a grenade blast near an army bunker at General Bus Stand in Kupwara.
An Indian trooper committed suicide by shooting himself with his own service rifle at Jammu Railway Station, today, raising the number of such deaths among the Indian troops and police personnel in the occupied territory to 224 since January 2007.
Indian police used brute force on students who were protesting against the anti-people policies of the puppet authorities in Jammu.
