Behibagh, Kulgam, 26 Jan 2012 : JASHN-E- CHILA-KILAN mela was orgnised by 62 Rashtriya Rifles (DOGRA) under the aegis of HQ 2 Sector Rashtriya Rifles. The mela was organized in the premises of Army Goodwill School, Behibagh where people from nearby areas participated in large numbers. A number of games, food stalls and Kashmiri handicrafts were put up for the masses.
The mela was welcome relief to the people from the chilly winter as people were seen enjoying on food stalls and amusing themselves with the games. People thronged the handicraft stalls and purchased stuffs for the winter. A Youth Guidance Node was also set up at the venue to educate youngsters about various job opportunities. On the occasion, medical aid and CSD facilities were also provided to local populace. The mela witnessed widespread public participation and appreciated by local populace.
Earlier in the day, colourful programme was presented by children of Army Goodwill School, Behibagh as well as flag hosting was carried out on the occasion of Republic Day. The programme was witnessed by large gathering of locals, children and parents of the students.
