Army and police rescued 59 persons on Sinthan Top

Anantnag, October 24:59 persons belonging to valley and Kishtwar gave a slip to death when they were saved in snow storm by the personal of 19 Rashtriya rifles and kokernag police

As per details due to the bad weather conditions in valley hilly regions witnessed heavey snowfall. due to which 59  passengers belonging to different areas of valley and kishtwar got  stranded near Sinthan Top on Anatnag -Kishtwar National High way. these persons including 41 male, 15 female and 4 children got trapped in heavy snow. when this news reached to authorities, kokernag police and persons of 19 Rashtriya Rifles rushed to the spot and resued these trapped persons after facing hard difficulties . after that these persons shifted to safer places and allowed to move to their respective destinations. people thanked the said rescue team for this work. pertinently Sinthan  is on high altitude on Anantnag-Kishtwar National Highway and it is the border between Anatnag and Kishtwar District. Due to high altitude area it is prone to snowfall
