NC responsible for failure of e-tendering: PDP Condemning the sluggish implementation of e-tendering processes,

Srinagar, December 20 :::: People’s Democratic Party Monday lashed out on the NC led government  for failing to make the efficient use of e-tendering in the valley.
In a press communiqué, District President PDP Kulgam, Nazir Ahmed  Laway, said that mis-governance of NC government has led to failure of  e-tendering implementation despite tall claims made by Chief Minister  of bringing transparency through e-governance. Since this government  is neck deep in rampant corruption, therefore, it has ensured that no  such institutions can come to fore that have the potential of bringing  transparency and curb corruption, he added.

Referring to selective implementation of e-tendering in R & B and  JKPCC, Laway said that e-tendering, in its current structure, has  served no purpose at all as it does it not caters to needs of the  people at large. Had the National conference government taken  e-tendering seriously it would have created job opportunities  particularly for the youth with technical qualifications and would  have also curbed huge unemployment in the state to some extent, he said.
The district president added that it has become habitual of NC govt to  sabotage any mechanism that could serve broader interests of the state  that is facing its ‘Great Depression’ owing to NC policies. He said  that the hasty implementation of e-tendering process has not moved  beyond tender invitation in newspapers, adding that construction of  polytechnic colleges, engineering colleges and vital projects should  have been made mandatory of being brought under e-tendering that would have put a stop to misuse of funds.
