Rao Farman Ali , a renowned young writer having better understanding on Kashmir conflict at psychological angle, quits from the position of Chairman District Child Protection Advisory Group( Anantnag),established in 2010—supported by ‘ Save The Children’ .
“ Unfortunately , I have observed that administration of voluntary organisation was much focussed on their own salaries rather to accentuate upon the problems of children, which they face vis-à-vis education in terms of formal and informal learning,” Rao said, adding, “ Tragically, using children as indispensable pawns to satiate own interests is unacceptable and there has been no policy on cognitive and instructional manipulations with better performance outcomes at educational front, so far as work of voluntary organisation is concerned .”
The clean slated children are worth salutation by showing keen interest in addressing the issues pertaining to children, in Anantnag various school children have successfully established ‘children groups’ by virtue of which some of the out of school children (OSC) and dropouts got mainstreamed, and formulation of learners profiles in different government schools, importantly educational department in Anantnag has been able to draft vision document along with a document on measurable quality standards, having been lauded both nationally and internationally.
