Srinagar, January 14: Jammu & Kashmir Police under Civic Programme, in collaboration with J&K Football Association has organized one week Youth Promotional Sports Camp at Jammu for providing coaching to the youth of J&K State. In his connection today a group of 150 youth hailing from various districts of Kashmir Valley, accompanied by twenty-five staff members were flagged off for Jammu in six buses by Shri Rauf-ul-Hassan- IPS, Inspector General of Armed Police & IRP Kashmir from Armed Police complex Headquarters, Srinagar.
The flagging off ceremony was managed by Shri Altaf Ahmad Khan, commandant JKAP 9th Bn. Transport and all logistic support to the youths were provided by the J&K Police. While addressing the youth, IGP Armed/ IRP Kashmir highlighted the importance of sports and exhorted upon the youth to work hard for becoming good players to represent State and Nation in sports activities. He also promised full support of J&K Police in exploring the talent of youth and providing and organizing many more such camps in future. Speaking on the occasion, General Secretary Football Federation, Mr. Abdul Hamid, expressed his gratitude and thanks J&K Police for supporting football Association in their endeavour for promoting sports activities in the State and requested for even more help from J&K Police for brightening sports prospects in the State.
