LeT Militant arrested in Bijbehara

Anantnag, 07: Anantnag police on Monday arrested one militant affiliated with Lashker-e-Tuiba and have recovered huge cache of Arms and ammunition from his procession at Sangam Bijbehara.

Acting on specific information, Anantnag police, 55 RR and CRPF in a joint operation have arrested one militant and recovered arms and ammunition, including one RPG Rocket in Sangam Bijbehara town of Anantnag in South Kashmir, SP Operations, Zahid Malik told this reporter.

 He said, “During Naka at NaniBatpora, we found that, one person later identified as Mohd Amin s/o Gulam Mohmad resident of Sahipora Chakora Pulwama was dumping arms and ammunition near National Highway.” Adding that when the police party told him to stop he rushed away after that we launched a man hunt and arrested him.

Arms and ammunition was recovered from his procession including one RPG Rocket, 2 booster and 3 UBG
“A case has been registered against the militant under arms Act and investigation is on.” SP, Zahid Malik said, adding that person is involved in transportation of arms and ammunition.
He said, during questioning, he admitted that he working for LeT.
Further questioning of the accused was going on, he said.
