Srinagar, November 04: As the 'blue eyed' family members of politicians and bureaucrats continue to occupy the government owned residences outside the state, JK House in New Delhi has now gone
inaccessible to twenty eight (28) revenue officials, deputed for training in National capital by the Election Commission of India (ECI).
Revenue officials Told Early Times that they reached JK house in New Delhi on 3rd of this month on the directions of their higher-ups for lodging and boarding but the authorities of JK House had put them to a lot of trouble by not allowing them to enter into the house despite
having reservations.
"We were asked to report at JK House in New Delhi, which we did but after reaching they (authorities) not allowed us to enter into the house saying no single room is available for our accommodation." A revenue official, Shoaib Mohmmad (KAS) said, adding reserved lodging
has been given to 'blue eyed'.
He said that they were then asked to report at Kissan Ghar for accommodation but on reaching there, the shamelessness of the Kissan Ghar meant for farmers forced them to stay night outside.
Revenue officials told early times that 'blue eyed' family members of politicians and bureaucrats have occupied whole of the JK house, while as several rooms and flats have been kept reserved by them
unnecessarily.
"We are the officers of the state what common people will have to face is understandable from our helplessness." They added. Officials said that now they have been accommodated in Tamil Nadu
government owned house in New Delhi. Situated in Chankya Puri, New Delhi, the JK House has three blocks comprising of 57 rooms, four VIP suits and 38 residential quarters.

Pertinently, this year it was disclosed in Legislative Council in reply to a question by Jehangir Hussain Mir, that among the total number of 11897 persons who  availed  the accommodation facilities in the JK House Delhi and Chandigarh during last five years, only 185 were that from far flung areas of Poonch, Rajouri, Kupwara and Kargil.
Apart from it, the successive governments have failed to take an
initiative for expansion plans utilizing the state land in Delhi. Some
disappointed complainants also allege that the officials of the House
accommodate the political families or those who have a recommendation
from any minister or a top bureaucrat.
"The existing accommodation is not sufficient to cater to the growing
needs of the visitors arriving in the capital from Jammu, Kashmir and
Ladakh regions for different purposes, particularly for advanced
treatment." Vikar Rasool, the minister in charge Hospitality and
Protocol had told Legislative Council this year over the issue of
favoritism in allotment of accommodation in JK House
