Locals beat Hurriyat Leader in South Kashmir

In militancy-hit South Kashmir, A Hurriyat leader was thrashed by locals in Kulgam Village. The incident has took place on Thursday, reports said.

They said Hurriyat Leader identified as Adnan Salfi had arrived in Quimoh Kulgam to offer condolence to Lashkar Militant Ejaj Makroo who was Killed during an encounter with government forces on Monday.

They said that after expressing sympathy with the family of slain militant, Hurriyat Leader reportedly affailted with Hurriyat (G) took out a rally and started raising anti-India slogans. 

While addressing the gathering, Hurriyat Leader surprisingly ridiculed a religious leader Sarjan Barkati, who is in jail since 2016 and termed him a 'dancer'.

According to reports, Hurriyat Leader said that only Militants and Hurriyat are fighting for kashmir cause.

His comments against Sarjan Barkati agitated people who had assembled to listen him.

"Soon he ended his speech. Youth overpowered him and thrashed him ruthlessly," they said.

 SarJaan Barkati, is also the Azadi Chaha and is being fallowed by the people in South Kashmir. Since 2016, Barkati is in Jail for carrying out anti-India rallies in South Kashmir.
