BJP Leader shot dead in South Kashmir’s Verinag

Anantnag, May 4: Suspected militants on Saturday late evening shot dead BJP district Vice-President in South Kashmir’s Verinag area of Anantnag district.
As per reports, militants bragged inside the residential house of BJP Leader Gull Mohd Mir at Nowgam Verinag and fired upon him. BJP Leader received four bullets and was evacuated to hospital in a critical condition but the doctors at Anantnag district hospital declared him ‘brought dead’.

60 years old, Gull Mohd Mi was BJP district Vice-President of Bartiya Janta Party (BJP) and had unsuccessfully contested 2014 Assembly election from Dooru Constituency.
Mir, a diehard fan of Late Prime Minister and BJP stalwart Atal Bihari Vajpayee, was active in domestic politics from last many years. He was also known as Attal Gull Mir among BJP workers in Kashmir.
Anantnag Police confirmed the killing of BJP Leader and said that they have started investigation.
