13 Died, 40 Injured in road mishaps


Srinagar, November 05: Thirteen persons died and forty others were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir Valley.
A Bus bearing registration number JK01B/3880 fell into a gorge while on way from Zanaskar to Kargil near Panzila, Kargil, resulting in on the spot death of eleven passengers and injuries to thirty-eight passengers. All the injured were shifted to Kargil and Zanaskar hospitals for treatment. Further details will follow.

A Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK05/6138 collided with a Tata Mobile Load Carrier bearing registration number JK05/3101 at Poshwar Colony, Nowshera, Baramulla falling under the jurisdiction of police station Boniyar, resulting in injuries to eight persons. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment, where in Saja Begum age 55 years wife of Abdul Ahmad Bhat resident of Nowshera succumbed to her injuries on way to hospital. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Maruti Van bearing registration number JK02B/2433 hit a scooter bearing registration number JK01E/7432 near G.B Panth Hospital, Srinagar falling under the jurisdiction of police station R.M Bagh, resulting in injuries to Scooterist Mushtaq Ahmad Gojri age 24 years son of Ghulam Nabi resident of Batwara, Srinagar. The injured was shifted to SMHS hospital, Srinagar for treatment, where he succumbs to his injures at hospital. A case has been registered in this regard.
          An unidentified vehicle hit and injured Farooq Ahmad Khan age 50 years son of Ghulam Ahmad resident of Karhama, Tangmarg at Mustafa Abad, HMT, Srinagar falling under the jurisdiction of police station Parimpora. The Injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
          A Load Carrier bearing registration number JK04B/0372 hit and injured a pedestrian Mohammad Akbar Shah age 50 years son of Abli Shah, resident of Takyia Gonipora, Kunzer near Kunzer, Baramulla falling under the jurisdiction of police station Kunzer. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
