Akhil Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasbaha demands establishment of tourism center at Shopian

Shopian, Nov. 28: while demanding multi-purpose tourism center at Shopian, Chairman Akhil Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasbaha, Eshfaq ur Rahman Poswal, Monday expressed grave concern over the  non implementations of the planning commission of  government of India by the district level administrative units/ sectoral officer their by depriving the down trodden community from their legitimate rights.

Addressing a meeting of workers of Akhil Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasbaha that was held today at Shopian town,in which large number of workers across south Kashmir participated.

The speaker on this occasion expressed their grave concern with regard to the non implementations, of the instructions of the planning commission government of India by the district level administrative units/ sectoral officer their by depriving this down trodden community from their legitimate rights. The speaker brought to light that different sectoral officers although show separate provision under , ST SC Components meant for the welfare of schedule tribes but, in actual these are not being spent on this community and is just an eyewash.

The state president Mr Eshfaq -ur-Rehman Poswal demanded high level Enquiry to probe this fraud being committed by sectoral officers’ in different departments.

He further demanded that the state government should establish a multi purpose, tourism center at head quarter Shopian, to give boost to adventure tourism across the Peer Pangal range. This will help to the economy of the people of this backward hilly district in general and habitants of meadows/pastures in particular.

The speakers from killer demanded for creation of separate Tehsil for Killer. The speakers who expressed their views in the meeting are Ch. NAIK Alam,vice president, ch. Abdul Hamid Kassan, Gen. Sectary. Ch Nizamu Din Baniya, State Secretary, Ch. Bashir Ahmad Shad, District President Shopian, Ishtoyaq Ahmad Powal, Gen. Secretary Shopian.
