Suspected militants attack Sarpanch

Pulwama, Nov.25:Suspected Militants shot at and injured an elected Sarpanch and ruling National Conference Block president in Tral Pulwama district of south Kashmir on Friday afternoon.
The suspected militants shot  Ab Salam Malik S/o Ab Kadoos Malik resident of Panzu Tral at Bus stand Tral in Pulwama district soon after he came out of a mosque after Friday prayers,  police said.

Salam was hit by a bullet in the right arm and leg, it said, adding that he was taken to a hospital in Srinagar where his condition was stated to be critical . No militant outfit has so far claimed the responsibility for the attack. In the shoot out one Ist year student namely Waseem Ahmad S/o Nazir Ahmad resident Nedar Tral also sustained minor injuries.
