Anantnag, Nov. 06: Despite efforts by Police, traffic jams were witnessed in many areas of the Anantnag Town
While only few men-in-blue were manning the entire rush of around thousands of vehicles thronging the roads, the commuters faced immense problems due to frequent traffic jams.
“I left for shopping with my family from my Batengoo home in the morning and was stranded in traffic jams for hours near Mahandi Kadal," said Farooq Ahmad , a businessman
People hailing from downtown areas of the City shared different views regarding the move as those areas received much pressure of traffic on Saturday. Residents and commuters from twon expressed anguish blaming the narrow and congested roads for swollen traffic movement.
