Army v/s Media T-20 Cricket Match held at Behibagh

Kulgam, Mar, 18: In order to build cordial relation with media 62 Rashtriya Rifles, Sunday, organized T-20 cricket match at Behibagh under the ageis of 2 Sector RR

The T-20 cricket match was played between Army-XI and Media-Xiwas at Behibagh Kulgam.

 The match provided an excellent opportunity for the cricketers of army and media to Interact and rub shoulders with each other as also showcase their cricketing skills.

 The match was inaugurated by commander 2 Sector RR, Sanjay Gupta, its all commanding officers and the media personnel.

 Batting first, Army- XI scored 168 in their 20 overs. In reply, Media –XI scored 169 in 19 overs and won the match

 Reyaz mir was declared man of the match for his outstanding performance for 37 runs.

 Speaking on the occasion, Brig Sanjay Gupta said that the match was organized with an aim to increase cooperation and understating between the media and army.

“If there is good relationship between media and army then both can work for the peace, stability and development of the nation as well as state?” Sanjay Gupta Said while nitrating with media persons.

 He said that match will further consolidate the symbiotic relationship between these two noble institutions that carry an onerous responsibility towards the nation and have high stakes in the overall development of the state of Jammu & Kashmir.
