police organises Drug De-addiction awareness camp in Pulwama


Srinagar, March 18.  J&K Police in association with Drug De-addiction center, Srinagar organised a Drug De-addiction awareness camp in Pulwama.
 In the on going campaign against Drug abuses in the Kashmir Valley, an awareness camp was today organised by the team of Drug De-addiction center-PCR Srinagar, at Town Hall Pulwama in collaboration with District Police Pulwama.

Headed by Dr. Muzafar Ahmad Incharge, Drug-de-addiction centre and assisted by a Psychiatrist from the Health department  conducted an awareness programme at Government boys Hr. Secondary School Pulwama,  where nearly  350 boys students were given a detailed presentation on education and prevention on drug symptoms of drug abuse and need for prevention.
Moreover,  230 effected persons  were given  free medicine, which included patients suffering from depression, sleep disturbance and general health issues. About 220 patients were diagnosed were multiple drug abuse they were given immediate treatment and detailed counselling and were advised to follow up Police Drug-de-addiction centre Kashmir.
