Anantnag, June 7: A day after Srinagar police formally
registered a case of molestation against the Director Health Services Kashmir
and three other district level officers of the department for allegedly
molesting a staff nurse, Dr Salim-ur-Rehman, key accused in the molestation
case today allegedly activated its men and machinery for enacting a protest
drama.
Ironically, Doctors, Paramedical staff left their duties
while breaching the administrative rules for pleasing their top boss who is the
soap and blindly termed the registration of FIR against the four officers
highly deplorable and condemnable that too on stage when police had not even
actually started the investigation.
In Anantnag Field Doctors Association held a protest demo
and termed the registration of FIR highly deplorable and condemnable.
Association while pleasing their top bosses termed the accused honest, upright
virtuous.
"The complainant belongs to South Kashmir and has a bad
track record and has found misbehaving with her colleagues and officers at
various places of her posting." An issued statement of the association
reads. Government Pharmict Association, Medical employees Association and
co-ordination committee of all health association also condemned the allegation
of the victim leveled on all four health officer. They also termed the incident
as fabricated. Protest drama enacted by doctors, paramedical staff stands
nailed as victim released a confession letter signed by one of the accused.
In the confession letter, Accused Assistant Medical surgeon
Dr Mohd Ashraf confesses to have harassed the nurse sexually. "Today on
17/04/2013 I Dr Ashraf apologize for the wrong doing and in future I will never
try to torture physically, mentally and sexually."
Confession letter read. However the Early Times can't claim
the authenticity of the letter released by the victim. Victim told Early Times
that after the passage of day's police had not initiated action against the
culprits besides she had recorded her statement before three IPS officers. "It
happen only Kashmir that rape accused gets promoted." She said, adding she
was not expecting any justice from the minister who is himself involved the
molestation case. She said that fair investigation into the case can unearth a
big sex racket in which top officers and ministers are involved. It is
important to mention here that Police registered an FIR of sexual assault on
the complaint of a female nurse against Director Health Saleem-ur-Rehman, CMO
Anantnag Dr Nazir Shehdad, BMO Sallar Dr Irshad Tak and Assistant Medical
surgeon Dr Ashraf.
