Saahil Suhail,Anantnag, Nov.21:A government school teacher was on Sunday arrested for allegedly outraging the modesty of a seventh standard girl student of the school at Adder Bijbehara in Anantnag, police said.
The accused Musatq Ahmad Dar S/o Ab Razaq Dar , who works as a science teacher in the school, allegedly lured the 13-year-old girl to class room yesterday and allegedly kissed and touched her private parts, they said.
The victim complained to her mother this morning, a police officer said quoting a complaint lodged by the girl's parents with the Bijbehara Police here.
Earlier, angered over the incident, the girl's father along with locals went to the school and held a demonstration demanding suspension of the teacher.
"Following the complaint, we registered a case of outrage of modesty against Mustaq and arrested him," the police said.
Meanwhile Chief Education Office Anantnag has also suspended the teacher
